🍁 Fabric : Cotton Linen (Robert Kaufman) : printed in SLC, UT. The texture is soft, fresh & good quality. The fabric is printed on the right side & the back is blank white.

📏 Size is approx. 18" x 24". The artwork featured on the towel was painted with gouache & watercolor paint, arranged digitally as a repeating pattern & printed onto the fabric in the Northern Utah. Each motif was inspired by a variety of trees that grow locally. Each Tea Towel is sewn by talented seamstresses in southern Utah to ensure the highest local quality. 

🎨 Artistic Process : Each piece begins with inspiration I find from my own life. I take pictures of things that inspire me which in turn bring so much more life & meaning to each piece I create. I then take my simple sketchbook & graphite pencil to render the object & draw in tiny details. I then bring the artwork into my computer where I use a drawing tablet to add color to graphite artwork. Coloring them digitally gives me a lot of flexibility to tweak colors for different moods, create fabrics & place my artwork onto other products. I’ve been drawing on my computer since I was a child & it feels so natural to bring the analog & digital mediums together. I’m really passionate about using technology to expand the versatility of human-made art without it becoming a crutch where the pieces feel stale.
