High Desert Weaver

Jean Onarheim is a local fiber artist who weaves unique tapestries. 

All weft yarn used in her pieces is either natural colored or plant dyed, and hand spun by the artist. 

Currently, she utilize native plants for some of the dyes. Her current work focuses on the interaction of line--horizontal. vertical. diagonal--and geometric patterns. 

"My goal is to express the elegance of the inherent qualities in a woven tapestry."
